18 Modbus Communications for PanelView Terminals

Type Determines address of the data in the

slave device.

Options are:

Input Status

Output Coil

Input Register

Holding Register

Address Type may support some or all of

the data types. Refer to page 15.

Scaling

Scale:

‘m’ in y = mx + b

Offset:

‘b’ in y = mx + b

Values you want to use to convert the

current tag’s processor integer value (‘x’)

to engineering units (‘y’).

Maximum characters = 12

0 - 9

e, E, +, and period

- Do not use blanks, tabs, carriage returns

or non-printable characters.

- Maximum precision for scale is 6 places

to right of decimal point.

- Maximum precision for offset is 6 places

to right of decimal point.

- If present, a sign (+ or -) for the number

must be first (+ is default).

- If present, a sign for the exponent must

immediately follow the e or E.
