Starting ControlGuardian Software for the First Time
Use the following steps to get ControlGuardian software ready to support your
processor system.

In this step: You:
À configure communicationhardware Select theappropriate communicationcard andset the
communication parametersso theprogramming terminalcan
communicate withthe processor. Forinformation onthe available
communication hardware,see chapter3.
Á use WHO Use WHOto select aprocessor. Select justone processorfor the
first uploadaction.
For informationon usingWHO, seechapter 8. Forinformation on
the availablecommunication options,see chapter3.
 upload only Upload theprocessor memoryfile fromone processor. Usethe
single actionfunction toselect uploadonly. This placesthe
processor memoryfile inthe productiondirectory.

à insert master Since thisis thefirst upload from a processor, assumethat the
processor memoryfile isthe master youwant tostart using with
ControlGuardian. Insert theproduction fileinto themaster directory.

Now you have a master file that you can compare to other files. If you have several
processor memory files to upload, create a batch file to upload the remaining files.
The parameters you set for the above single upload become the defaults for the
batch edit function. Just change the processor for each upload action in the
batch file.
