4-6 Connect the Interface Card
1784-6.5.22 - November 1999
Connect the Card to an Enhanced PLC-5 Processor
To connect the 1784-KTX or -KTXD card to an enhanced PLC-5 processor, use
a 1784-CP12 cable and a 1784-CP7 adapter. Follow these steps:
1. Connect the 3-pin Phoenix end of the CP12 cable to the KTx card.
2. Connect the 9-pin D-shell connector to the CP7 adapter.
3. Connect the adapter to the connector on the front of the enhanced
PLC-5 processor.
For additional information about the 1784-CP7 adapter, refer to publication
1784-2.29, the CP7 Adapter Installation Data.
