You can only use Series B or higher of the reader when using an

auxiliary monitor. Refer to the drawing below for auxiliary port

connections.

The monitor can be configured to operate in one of three modes.

The modes are:

• transparent

• non–buffered full-duplex

• non-buffered half-duplex

Transparent mode can work with all protocols. Full-duplex and

half-duplex modes can work with all protocols except polled

protocols.
