UDC Module Ports A/B Fiber-Optic Link Communication Status Register 88/1088

This register shows the current operating state of fiber-optic links A

and B. The lower byte (bits 0-7) shows the actual link status while the

upper byte (bits 8-15) shows whether the communication taking

place is synchronized or not.

If the lower byte is equal to:

xx01H: the UDC module is waiting for a request from the PMI for an operating system.

xx02H: the UDC module is downloading an operating system to the PMI.

xx03H: the UDC module and the PMI are exchanging data.

xx06H: the external loopback test is being conducted on the fiber-optic link.

If the upper byte is equal to:

01xxH: the communication between the UDC module and the PMI is synchronized.

02xxH: the communication between the UDC module and the PMI is not synchronized.

UDC Module Ports A/B Transmitted Message Count Register 89/1089

This register contains the number of messages transmitted by the

UDC module on port A and port B.
