Chapter 1 Prepare the PowerFlex 40 Drive Hardware

2. Verify that a jumper is installed

between I/O terminals 01 and 11

on the drive.

The drive ships from the factory

with the jumper installed by

default.

3. If a jumper is not installed, install one before continuing.

4. Remove the terminal block cover to access the power connections.

5. Insert the 120/240V AC, V AC

COM, and chassis ground wires

and tighten the terminal screws.

6. Do not apply power to the drive.

Connect To

120/240V AC R/L1

V AC COM S/L2

Chassis ground
