Troubleshooting 7-3
MOD Status Indicator
Status Cause Corrective Action
Off The module is not powered. • Securely connect the module to the drive using a
1202-Cxx Communication cable.
• Apply power to the module.
Flashing Red The module has failed the
firmware test.
The module is being flash
upgraded.
• Clear faults in the module.
• Cycle power to the drive and/or module.
• If cycling power does not correct the problem, the
parameter settings may have been corrupted.
Reset defaults and reconfigure the module.
• If resetting defaults does not correct the problem,
flash the module with the latest firmware release.
Solid Red The module has failed the
hardware test.
• Cycle power to the module.
• Replace the module.
Flashing Green The module is operational,
but is not transferring I/O
data.
• Place the controller in RUN mode.
• Program the controller to recognize and transmit
I/O to the module.
• Configure the module for the program in the
controller.
• Normal behavior if no SCANport I/O is enabled.
Solid Green The module is operational
and transferring I/O data.
No action required.
Flashing Red/
Green
The module is in boot mode. • Flash the module with the latest firmware release
over the serial port.
If Port and Net A are also
flashing Red/Green, then the
module is performing a
self-test.
• No action required.
