Configuration Tab Description
Message Type Always use “CIP Generic.”
Service Type The service is used to read/write a parameter value.
Service Code Code for the requested service.
Class Class ID for the DSI Parameter Object.
Instance Instance number in the Class.
Attribute Attribute number of the Instance.
Source Element Source of the request service data.
Source Length Length of the request service data.
Destination Location where the response service data (if any) is stored.
Communication Tab Description
Path Format is <Name of Module>,2,n — where “n” equals the
channel number (1…3) on the 1769-SM2.
Tag Tab Description
Name The name for the message instruction.
