OUTPUT CODE

Select EIA (RS-244A) or ASCII (RS-358-B) as output codes for devices

with data lengths configured as 8 bit. The output code can not be

configured for data lengths configured as 7 bits and is displayed as N/A.

AUTOFILENAME

This parameter is valid only if you are inputting part programs to the

control from a tape reader (see DEVICE for details). Use this parameter

only if your tape contains more than one part program.

AUTO F ILENAME lets you automatically assign program names to all

programs or key in or read the filenames for each program individually as

they are copied into memory from a multiple program tape.

mustbe a programname as thefirstblock ofthefirstprogram. The controlautomaticallycreates

programnames forsuccessive programson thattape by incrementing the programname by one as

eachnewprogramis read. The controlignoresall program namesthatexistasthefirstblock ofthe

programforanyprogram readafter the firstprogramon tape (thoughthese blocksare stillcopiedinto

memory,they arenotused as theprogramname). The controlgeneratesanerrorif when reading

programnames intomemory,the controlneeds toincrementa program namethatisgreaterthan

99999.

Important: If the first programname is tobereadfrom tape (notmanually keyedin), thefirstblock

of the first program must contain a program name in one ofthe following formats:Oxxxxx (ASCII),

Nxxxxx or:xxxxxwhere xxxxx isanyvalid integer.

No The programnamefor each programon a multi-programtapemustbe entered fromthekeyboard or

locatedas thefirstblock ofeachprogram aftertheprogramstart code on thetape. Ifno programname

isfoundin the firstblock and no programname is keyedin,the controlgeneratesan error.

STOP PRG END

This parameter is available only if you have selected a tape reader as your

device (see DEVICE for details). It determines if the tape reader is to stop

at the end of each program or continue reading until the end-of-tape code is
