Important: The control stores all F--words programmed in t he positioning
mode as the active feedrate in control memory, but the control ignores
them during positioning mode (G00).
The format for linear interpolation mode is as follows:
G01X ____ Z ____ F ____ ;
Where: Is :
G01 G01 establishesthe linearinterpolationmode. Inlinearinterpolationmode,the
wheel isfedalong a straightline at thecurrentlyprogrammedfeedrate.

system.
F the F--word representsthefeedratefor axismovesthattakeplace in the G01,
G02,andG03 modes. The F--word doesnothave tobe programmed in the G01
blockhowever, iftheF--word is notprogrammedafeedratemusthavebeen
madeactive in some previousblock.
You can perform linear interpolation in the absolute mode (G90), or the
increm ental mode (G91).
Example 12.2 illustrates a G01 rapid positioning move using linear
interpolation. This example first establishes diameter programming mode
with the G08 block. Diameter programming mode is available on
cylindrical grinders only.
