Dresser Parameters on the In-process Dresser Screen
This Parameter:
(paramacro system parameter)
Indicates: Range:
DRESSER/ACTIVE/INACTIVE if thein-processdresseriscurrentlyactive(turned on) or inactive
(turned off). This is controlledby PAL.
Active
(in-process dresseron)
Inactive
(in-process dresseroff)
DRESSER HOLD/NOT HOLD if thein-processdresseriscurrentlyin the hold state. The hold state

INITIAL WHEEL DIAMETER thestartingwheel diameterthatwasactivethelast timethe in-process
dresserwas calibrated. When the wheel is calibrated, the control
writesthevalueof the newwheel diameterintothisparameter. The
differencebetweenthisparameter and the “CurrentWheel Diameter”
parameter is equal to theamount thewheel has been dressedsinceit
waslastcalibrated. The value ofthis parameteronlychanges when
thewheel is calibratedor the in-processdresser is deactivated.

CURRENT WHEELDIAMETER
(paramacro #5508)
thevalue of thecurrentwheeldiameter. When the wheel is calibrated,
thecontrolcopiesthe “NewWheel Diameter”valueinto this
parameter. Once the in-processdresser is enabled, thisvalue is
reducedby the amountof wheel shrinkageasthe wheel is dressed.
When thein-processdresserisdisabled, thecontrol copies thecurrent
wheel diametervalue intothe“InitialW heel Diameter” parameter.

* NEW WHEEL DIAMETER
(paramacro #5500)
thevalue of thewheeldiameter beforethein-processdresseris
calibrated. Once calibratedthe valueofthisparameter is copied into
the“InitialWheelDiameter” parameter.

* WARNING WHEEL DIAMETER
(paramacro #5501)
a wheel diametergreaterthan the“Minimum Wheel Diameter”. When
thewheel is dresseddowntothisdiameter, a warning message is
displayed. This valueshouldbelargeenough so thatthe operatorhas
sufficientwheel leftto finishcurrentoperationsandtake corrective
actionbefore thewheel is dresseddowntothe “MinimumWheel
Diameter”. Your system installer determines in PAL the control’s
responseto a wheel thathas been dresseddowntothe warning
wheel diameter.

0 to99999.999 [mm]
* MINIMUM WHEEL DIAMETER
(paramacro #5502)
theminimumacceptable wheel diameter. When the wheel is dressed
down to this diameter,a warning message is displayed. The system

speedthegrinding wheel is allowed toreachwhen constantsurface

* This parameter can be configured by the operator on this screen. Other parameters are assigned by the control or PAL during calibration or dressing.
